Gratitude

"If you concentrate on finding what is good in every situation, you will discover that your life will suddenly be filled with gratitude, a feeling that nurtures the soul." -Rabbi Harold Kushner

My husband started a gratitude list yesterday where he lists a few things every day for which he is grateful. I think that is a wonderful idea and it got me thinking about how easy it is to take things for granted. Sometimes I stress out about little things, like $100 water bills, and don't take time to appreciate our beautiful yard that is the result of those waterings and the time James spends each morning caring for each plant.

So I am going to make a concerted effort to be grateful for the people, places & things in my life & look for the good in all of them.
